What We Believe

We believe that stories are the most powerful tool a parent has. Not because they entertain — though they do — but because they teach empathy, build vocabulary, ignite imagination, and create the kind of memories that last a lifetime.

We believe every child deserves a story where they are the hero. Not a generic child from a generic town. Their name. Their world. Their adventure.

We believe bedtime is sacred. It is the one moment in the day when a parent and child can be fully present together — no screens, no schedules, just a story and the warm weight of a child falling asleep knowing they are loved.

What We Are Building

BAMJOY is an AI-powered personalised storybook platform designed for families with children aged 0 to 13. Every story is unique, generated on demand, tailored to your child's age and interests, and brought to life with beautiful AI-generated watercolour illustrations.

We are not building a toy. We are not building a game. We are building a reading companion — something that grows with your child from board books through to chapter books, from first phonics to full novels.

Our UK Phonics Engine aligns story vocabulary to the Department for Education's Letters and Sounds framework. Our illustration engine produces artwork that genuinely delights children. And our story generation keeps getting better with every update.

Who We Are For

BAMJOY is for the parent who reads the same three books every night because that is all they have to hand. It is for the parent of a reluctant reader who needs the hook of their own name to get them interested. It is for the parent who wants to introduce phonics at home without making it feel like homework.

Where We Are Going

We are at the beginning. The platform you see today is version one. What we are building toward is a complete children's reading companion — one that knows your child's phonics phase, tracks their reading milestones, narrates their stories in the voice of a parent or grandparent, and sends them a printed hardback in the post once a quarter.

We are building toward schools. Toward libraries. Toward a world where every child — regardless of whether their parents have time, money, or energy — has access to a story that was made just for them.

We are a long way from there. But we know where we are going, and we are moving fast.
